Comedy Hour - An Acting Class with Studio Playground

Let’s laugh, sing, and make a beautiful ruckus! Join Studio Playground for an acting class that empowers students to be adventurous and find their voice within an ensemble. Classes begin with a movement warm-up and theater game. Students learn foundational elements of improvisation and concepts to support teamwork and collaboration. The workshop will explore elements of movement, improv, clowning, and narrative storytelling.

Learning objectives include:

• Explore the health benefits of laughter through movement and improvisation

• Understand the actor’s tools of voice, body, and imagination

• Engage an audience in narrative storytelling

• Skills for communication and collaboration
