Camp Description:

Join us for our winter break Shakespeare Camp! This theater camp for ages 7-12 occurs during winter break in February, 2026. Students learn fundamental concepts for acting Shakespeare and ensemble development. Using scenes from Hamlet, Romeo & Juliet, Twelfth Night, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, students explore characters and poetic language. Students develop confidence with public speaking and learn concepts for collaboration, character development, and narrative storytelling. The week ends with a performance for friends & family on Friday February 20.

Curriculum Includes:

  • Voice, movement & physical acting

  • Material from Shakespeare’s plays

  • Rehearsing with a script

  • Games to reinforce skills for teamwork

Example of Daily Schedule

8:30am Drop Off

  • Morning announcements

  • Group warm up

  • Theater games

  • Performance projects in small groups

12pm Lunch

  • Students bring a non-refrigerated lunch

1pm Afternoon Activities

  • Afternoon check-in

  • Theater games and rehearsal

  • Performance and sharing of work

3:30pm Pick-Up

Safey Guidelines - Youth Classes

Please note this policy is subject to change. Wearing a mask is optional for staff and students. Class size is limited. Staff keep daily attendance records for contact tracing, provide hand sanitizer, and encourage hand hygiene. Any student who has a fever or who is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 is advised not attend class.
