Storytelling & Play

Acting Class for Children Ages 4-6

Winter Session: Saturdays, 10:30am-11:30am

January 31 - March 28, 2025

(No Class Feb 14 & Feb 21)

Class Description:

Let’s laugh, sing, and make a beautiful ruckus! Join Studio Playground for an acting class that empowers students to develop confidence and find their voice within an ensemble. All classes begin with a group warm up and physical acting game as students learn the fundamental concepts of voice, body, and imagination.

Students explore elements of song, storytelling, clowning, and performance projects. Let’s find that delightful little sparkle of joy and learn to share it with an audience! Each session culminates in a brief performance for friends and family.

Students who attend multiple classes are supervised in between programs by our staff.

We recommend that students bring a nut-free snack or lunch to enjoy in between classes.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explore the health benefits of laughter through movement and improvisation

  • Understand the actor’s tools of voice, body, and imagination

  • Engage an audience in narrative storytelling

  • Skills for communication and collaboration
