Acting Class for Ages 10-12

Class Description
In this class, students develop acting skills for both stage and screen. Classes begin with a warm-up, followed by games based in improvisation and physical acting. Through performance projects and short scenes, students apply the actor’s tools of voice, body, and imagination to create characters for the stage. Students also learn an approach to scene work and acting on camera using material from film and television. The class provides a supportive environment for students to strengthen performance skills, and develop their individual voice as actors. Each session culminates in a performance or screening for friends and family.

Please note this policy is subject to change.
Wearing a mask is optional for staff and students. Class size is limited. Staff keep daily attendance records for contact tracing, provide hand sanitizer, and encourage hand hygiene.
Any student who has a fever is advised not attend class. Students must be fever-free for at least 24 hours before returning to class.
