Theater Camp in Lincoln Woods State Park
Studio Playground was formed in July 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our initial goal was to provide a source of connection and empowerment for youth in isolation with virtual classes integrating social-emotional learning with physical acting. In 2021, we implemented our flagship program: a summer camp that provided a unique experience for children in northern Rhode Island and southern Massachusetts. Our Theater Camp in Lincoln Woods State Park promotes joy and creativity in a picturesque outdoor setting surrounded by nature.

Students ages 5-11 have a fun-filled week of theater games, arts & crafts, and classic camp activities. Our Create & Create Program provides hands-on crafting projects as students create costumes and props to bring original characters to life. Each week culminates in an outdoor performance for friends and family.
Our acting classes for kids occur in Providence, Rhode Island.

Studio Playground teaches classes for all ages based in movement and physical acting. Classes integrate arts education with core concepts for social-emotional learning including self-awareness, social awareness, and relationship skills. Students explore the benefits of laughter through movement, performance, and playful improvisation.
